The platform that runs a coaching institute online — admissions, fees, video, attendance.

The problem

Info Planet, a coaching institute in Jalgaon running since 2001, managed admissions, fees, attendance and lessons by hand. They needed to move the whole operation online — across web and native mobile — without ballooning running costs.

What we built
  • One platform, three surfaces — a web app, a native iOS app (live on the App Store) and Android (closed testing).
  • Admissions and enquiry tracking, students, batches, fees with Razorpay online payments, attendance, and WhatsApp communications.
  • Encrypted video lessons streamed from self-hosted Cloudflare R2 + HLS, with analytics built in.
  • Migrated off managed Supabase to self-hosted Postgres 16 + PostgREST — round-trip latency dropped ~19× with zero app rewrite.
  • Moving video off Bunny.net to self-hosted R2 + HLS alone cut ~$120/month; the whole stack now runs at ~$15/month.

A note on the numbers The platform went live on 28 May 2026; its usage numbers are genuine but early (54 active students, 39 of 41 enquiries converted). The institute's public "5,000+ students / since 2001 / 4.7★" figures are their lifetime, offline numbers — not platform metrics — so we don't present them as product stats.
